You know I came back here to bookmark this since I have most of the stuff for it, I wonder if i could substitute baking soda/powder for the yeast... as i DON'T have any of that. do you know?

The recipe sounds great! Sorry to read that your time in NJ was limited to Newark (not the best representation of our state!)... I know the airline, and they are notorious for not telling you what's going on for as long as possible. Hope the beginning of your trip was better!

I had to read the name of this recipe twice. Gouda biscotti!? Gouda by far is one of my favorite cheeses although I have never had savory biscotti before. They are very intriquing!

Savory biscotti sounds great! Oh, you poor thing to be stuck in Newark.

Oooh! This looks great- I love the idea of a savory biscotti. How perfect would these be with some minestrone? Yum!

How delectable! I love the idea of a savory biscotti and what better than gouda and walnuts? I can just imagine the combinations! What about fontina and almonds!? Or parm and pine nuts!? Mmm!

Okay great minds think alike. I've been reworking that recipe for a contest just last night! I love the savory element.

I do love biscotti and yours look so good!

I hate flying for that very reason. The same thing has happened to me several times. Ugh! Getting stuck somewhere is the worst.

These look especially good to dip in thick soups. Nice job. I love gouda cheese.

Sorry to hear about the airline snag. The biscotti looks good and sounds intriging; thanks for posting.

I'm so sorry you got stuck! That would have driven me nuts. Planes terrify me. The biscotti looks good, though. :)

I recommended your blog on mine today. Love it !!

OOh, I saw these too, such a great idea :) They might have to be on my next bowl of soup!

    Lisa

    I agree with Gigi - don't think I've ever seen/heard of a savory biscotti - until now :)

    Chou

Sorry to hear you got stuck, but lucky use to learn about this as a result!

    Gigi

Julie, I love biscotti - both the making and the eating! Now why have I never thought of a savory biscotti? Definitely sounds like something to try! Thanks!
