Thanks for the information regarding the wire disks, Danny! I will definitely keep my eye out for one the next time that I am at the supply store. So far, I have had luck with my stone not breaking, but that is sure to run out eventually.......

    Great photos! looks yummy.

Blonde Duck, a cheaper alternative to a pizza stone (having broke three) is the round wire disks that pizzarias cook their pizza on. You can find all the sizes at a restaurant supply store.

Great looking pizza, this sounds like a great challenge. You've gotten me hungry for dinner early, time to eat!

Very well done! Your pizzas look wonderful!

No this is one daring bakers challenge I could get my mouth around. My husband would have loved this challenge as well!

The pizza looks great! Haven't made pizza in a while - maybe it's time! Of course, sitting here reading food blogs, I have all kinds of recipes I want to try... hehe!

I need to get a pizza stone! I used a pan and like you said it was a little under cooked in the middle (but not too bad).
oooo I like the idea of truffle oil. I had never heard of it until a few weeks back and I have been wanting to get some ever since.
    Delish!
    Your pizzas look great!

Oh yours came out great! I'm loving Daring Bakers. Can't wait to see what next month is. And you're so very right about taking off your rings. I forgot to do that, too, the first time...

I need a pizza stone, because your pizzas look wonderful!

    Candy

Whoa, that looks so worth the effort!

Delicious looking pizzas! I also wish I had an outdoor brick oven!

Haha...the tip about not wearing rings is funny, but true! I was wearing my wedding and engagement ring and kept getting it caught in my dough! Your pizzas look great! I love the toppings. :)

Yes, I concur with all of your observations, including using the extra teaspoons of water. I was really upset that my pizza stone cracked when I removed one of my pizzas and some of the cheese fell onto it. But, now that I have made this pizza, I will have to go to the expense of replacing it. It is well worth it!
