Thank you, Dee!  Yes, can you believe how overpriced that is?  Luckily, it lasts for awhile, but still.....

    Have a fantastic weekend :)

$9 for Tahini! Incredible. I love repurposing great ingredients too. Great post. Delicious looking recipe! Pretty presentation.

    Daily Spud

For years now I've been making hummus using toasted, ground sesame seeds instead of tahini, given that tahini is just creamed sesame seeds and I didn't like the aftertaste I got from some brands of tahini. Anyway, I posted about it here: http://www.thedailyspud.com/2008/11/03/mushy-chickpeas/ - you could try it and see if the taste works for you - it's certainly a lot cheaper, that's for sure :) Lovely parfaits, btw!

$9?! That's cruel! The parfaits look fabulous--perfect spring treats.

This looks sooo good! I am with you and hate to throw away food.

You are amazing! Where do you come up with these things? Thank you so much!

    Hi Julie..

Yeah, the price of tahini is ridiculous! I went out to get some yesterday as well at our local health food store and it was $10.00 a jar. Too much for me right now. I love making roasted red pepper hummus, and my friend says she has a great recipe for hummus using sesame oil and peanut butter. I bought some sesame oil yesterday, so I'll give it a try. If it turns out well, I'll send you the recipe. BTW.. I saw you on FN, and that's how I found out about your blog! Can't wait to try some of your yummy recipes! I stay at home w/my 16-month-old, and I love finding easy and tasty recipes. Thank you for your blog!

My neighbor's husband needs "new" food every night. I'm so glad I don't have to be that creative, it would be exhausting! But you do such a nice job.

This looks amazing--white chocolate and raspberries! Fantastic.

    Cam

    Nice colors for February!

    Bob

Uhm, yeah. That'll do. That's the best use of leftovers I've seen in ages. :)

    Blond Duck

I know what you mean about men not eating leftovers! Ben's the same way. He'll eat leftover pizza or beef burgendy--otherwise I've got to eat it all. Now I end up freezing everything!

    Rico

Why you forever tease me with your delicious deserts, then I have to make them, and sometimes I don't even get to eat them as my kids get there first....I loved it ..thx 4 sharing :)

    Monica

That looks really good! I might have to try that sometime! Thanks for sharing....

    Karen

Looks pretty yummy... and pretty! I usually make something "new" out of leftovers, too... we don't usually just heat up the leftovers. This is good because there's no waste, but omg, then the something "new" has leftovers... on and on! LOL

    The Duo Dishes

$9 for tahini!!!! Robbery! Well, good thing you have a knack for food creations like these.
