I made this soup last night for guests with some homemade chicken and turkey stock (Didn't have enough of just the chicken), and it was absolutely amazing!!

Thank you! I'll definitely be making this again. Probably a LOT.

I've never had pea soup. This looks really good though.

Julie, this soup sounds totally delicious!! I love peas, and I love springtime soups. Put them together, and I'm pretty sure this is a bowl of heaven. By the way, I saw the picture of Jenna with your cupcake in my People magazine!! So exciting!!

You're so right about not all foods being photogenic!! I made the mistake ones with a pasta salad that tasted delicious but looked totally horrible on photo! I love peasoup though, although here in Holland we would definitely call this a true wintersoup! We would call it erwtensoup in dutch, but it's really quite similar!

I cannot wait to try your recipe. It sounds wonderful, and I heard it was delicous! I love pea soup. :) A splash of red wine vinegar adds a nice little zing to it, but I bet the crush red pepper is even better. I will be trying your recipe this week.
    Have a great weekend.

Julie, have you been to Sunflower Market? There are only two in Vegas, so it might not be convenient for you, but they almost always have lovely produce (and a great selection) and they always have the best prices. There's one on Rainbow & Flamingo and one on Trop & Eastern (I think). But I get what you mean about produce in Vegas- the desert climate and location in the middle of nowhere just isn't conducive to awesome, fresh, seasonal stuff sometimes. (But you can grow pomegranate trees there. Can't do that in Utah.)

The soup sounds nice, I think I may try it once those fresh peas hit the stores up here. (Sorry, couldn't resist.)
