Thank you, Shannon!  Sometimes, when I am writing, those things just end up in my blog.  I never know what the reaction is going to be, but I just leave it in.  Glad that it made you laugh!!  I just got back from sampling my granola at Whole Foods and sold out.  It was a good day :)  Ill email you tomorrow night about the give away.

I read your post twice...it was so funny..."A shot of tequila works wonders, you know"....love it.

I think your recipe looks great!! I am sooo jealous that you got to go to the food show. I hope you get to go to the one in New York and showcase your granola. I was at Whole Foods the other day looking at their granola and can totally see yours there....you really have a great product with a great name and story behind it.

What do you mean, Anissa?  You are definitely a talented baker.  P.J. doesnt know what he is talking about.  Did he hit his head or something??  Maybe your smoke alarms are over-sensitive!

Thank you, Jennifer!  Ive never heard of the Fabulous Food Show, but it sounds, well, FABULOUS!!  I didnt know that pasta sauce was such a big deal in Cleveland.  Have a great weekend!

I know, Nick.  I must have had a moment of temporary insanity when I typed that comment.  Ganache should NEVER be optional!!

Your pie looks great. Bananas and chocolate are one of my favorite combos.
I am envious of your food show. We have something here in Cleveland every year called "The Fabulous Food Show". There are a lot of exhibitors, but it seems like 80% of them are selling pasta sauce!

    Nick

My gosh I want some of this! No matter what kind of pie I make, I usually put a layer of banana slices on the bottom, it helps keep the crust from getting mushy, or so I believe. But tell me, how can the chocolate ganache layer be optional? Are you nuts?

Thanks so much, Kim!  I will definitely keep you in the loop with my FFS progress.  It would be great to have some help at the show--and its so much fun too.  Have a great night!

Thanks, Karen!  Yes, I came home with the samples......but Eric ate them all!

Thanks so much, Janice!  So glad that you enjoyed the recipe :)

Wow, what a great reason to go to SF! I've always wanted to attend that show. If you get your booth together for NY and want some free help I'll fly up! In another life I had to work similar shows and know how to do it--we'll sell the pants off your granola--maybe not the pants. The honey?
    My offer is serious!

    The pie looks fab!

    Karen

The Specialty Food trick-or-treating sounds like fun! I bet you came home with all kinds of delicious little samples. Your banana pie looks just beautiful. Love the chocolate layer :)

    Janice

The pie looks delicious, I love banana pie.
